| About the Author | Varg Vikernes was sentenced to prison in the early nineties in connection with his involvement in the Black Metal movement. This sub-culture carried a rebellion against mainstream society, being responsible for the burning of churches and ploting against leading politicians. Vikernes is the man behind the band 'Burzum' and he has written several books and articles on Nordic mythology, Asatru, and Germanic history in the past 15 years.
